This compact transilluminator serves as an ideal workstation for imaging fluorescent-stained nucleic acid gels, featuring a blue light source that offers an additional advantage of not damaging DNA or RNA typically associated with UV light. It comes with a separate 580nm amber filter screen and a thinner, lighter housing, making it suitable for viewing small to medium-sized gels, such as multiSUB mini, midi, and optional Horizontal DNA gel tanks. The safeVIEW-MINI2 can also be used with our GDH-BASIC imaging head. It allows you to capture images with reduced background light using your smartphone camera.
